With the tomato plants looking like they’re on their last legs, Rowdy said it was time to trim them back and harvest the tomatoes. As I write this, Rowdy is busy in the kitchen canning the ripened tomatoes. We’ve cleaned out one of the two raised beds with tomatoes and have one more to go. Rowdy says that we’ll have about 7 quarts from today’s batch – from the first raised bed.
The green tomatoes are going to be allowed to ripen and we’ll be sharing a portion of thesun gold cherry tomatoes with our friends and neighbors.
